Blue Death Feigning Beetle (Asbolus verrucosus)

The Blue Death Feigning beetles are great, very busy, communal desert beetles. These beetles appear blue because of the waxy secretion that is a protective barrier to hold in moisture. If you pick them up, they may wipe off and the beetle may appear darker but its blue coloration will return a few days later. 

We feed our beetles bug jelly, fish flakes, and squash. No water is needed so long as you provide a veggie to eat and hydration.
